The Elvington aircraft tug is a Dennis-Mercury. Believed ex - RAF, then Nordic Air, then Servisair (both at Leeds/ Bradford airport). Donated to the museum in 2002. Unless it has been repaired since I was last there, it is U/S as someone forgot to check the gearbox oil level. Something melted.

The second one is a Douglas-Tugmaster which was used for pulling tanks around in the tank storage depots, first saw one at Lugdgershall then Ibought the one out of ROF Leeds when it closed. I eventually sold it to Leavisley International. It actually weighed 30 tonnes.

Yep, this one is well recorded, Nick Baldwin did a write up on it some years ago, It was the other one I want to know history on...thanks

Tugmaster model P111 engined with Perkins V8 176 bhp, 4x4 three powershift gears forward and reverse, with Torque converter for handling Aircraft up to 440,000 lbs but as you say John this particular one was used for handling Tanks in a repair shop.
