Arnhem Memorial Drop 2008

On September 20th it's the annual Arnhem Memorial Drop, I'll be attending with the Dodge. Are other members coming over for this event?

10.30h parachute drop by men of the 4th (Reserve) Battalion The Parachute Regiment at Ginkel Heath, Ede, followed by wreath-laying at the Monument.

 

It will be followed by the Race to the Bridge but since my Dodge isn't marked as British or Canadian I can't participate.

Race to the Bridge, with old military vehicles. 14.00 hours, from Telefoonweg, Renkum to the John Frost Bridge, Arnhem. 16.15 hours, display of vehicles at Airborne Museum, Oosterbeek

I'll be there with the Dodge and folding bicycle, also for the static display in Ede town.

A few Brit. friends want to come over with a jeep and join in.

I'd love to, but am snookered. You chaps can represent HMVF for us. I am dead jealous. I've never been to any of the Market Garden locations. A big hole in my military history pilgrimages. Looking forward to your reports already.

I have to admit I've changed my mind on this and won't be going, september is just too busy...

23 members coming with 7 jeeps and 3 DR bikes we are staying

with the ABWO group at Oosterbeek
