Dear Jack,

Thanks for your email. I am hoping to hold another Alton in the '40s Day on June 24th

or 25th. It has been held on a Sunday for the past 3 yrs but traders in the town have

expressed a preference for more events on a Saturday.

Please let me know what type of vehicles you would like to bring and how many. I will

be sending out entry forms in the next month or so and will put you on my distribution

list.

Jack,

Further to my earlier reply, I am now able to confirm the following and look forward to hearing from any of your members who would like to attend.

We plan to repeat our very successful "Alton in the 1940s" event,

held in conjunction with Mid Hants Railway's "War on the Line", on

Saturday 24th June.

Once again, the High St and Market Square will be closed to traffic,

with live '40s music in the Market Square, civilian and military

vehicles in both the Square and the High St and lots of re-enactors

wandering around town after travelling to Alton on the Watercress

Line. It's a great day out with lots of atmosphere and plenty of pubs

and restaurants around the Square to keep you refreshed.

If you are interested please contact me for an entry form by email
