Touchwood
Can anyone tell me how the flaps were stowed when folding the wings on either of the above? Looking at the plane I can't figure out whether they were folded upwards or removed. Any info would be gratefully received.
AndyFowler
Have you seen the Walrus at the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton ! They had one on display with its wings folded last year ! Unfortunately the only pic I took was from the bow and it does not answer your query sorry ! Andy ! http://www.fleetairarm.com/

Touchwood
Ribet Ribet (translation:- Nothing works, Nothing works) Not seen the one at Yeovilton but took some pics of the one at Hendon which had the wings extended. I have found an online copy of the manual but it is unclear whether the flaps are just folded upward or whether they are removed and stowed. I need to know because I am doing a 3D model of it and want the wings to fold correctly.

Degsy
A real ugly duckling but much loved especially by the many air crew who owed their lives to it, affectionately known as the 'Shagbat'

woa2
Some years ago, I went to a talk given by a pilot of an air-sea rescue Walrus. He did say that they were so stable that the 'auto-pilot' was a piece of string going from the Pilot's seat to the control column.
