Rick W
As I couldnt find the motorcycle section on here (!), I thought Id post these recently found pics for those of you who prefer 2 wheels to 4 and the wind blowing through your hair! 1 http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/douglasclyno.jpg[/img] 2 http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/bikers.jpg[/img] 3 http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/rik242_2006/3rdsouthmid.jpg[/img] But can you id the bikes in 1 and 2/3, do you know what regiment the bikes in 2 and 3 belong to? Any idea what regiment? No idea, given the size of the photos, I was going on the petrol tank, emblem and lining is typical Triumph. 79x100
The top outfit is a Clyno. Do I get a bonus point for recognising the National Motorcycle Museum carpet ? I think that the bike on the left of the second picture is a Rudge. Pretty sure that there is at least one Triumph Model H in picture 3 but I can't see their characteristic front fork spring, nor the leather strap that most riders fitted to hold the whole lot together when the spring broke. Rick W
Gold star for recognising the Clyno, plus extra for recognising the carpet! They are Triumphs from what I know working with the 3rd South Midlands. ;-)
79x100
A Gold Star ! Wait tell I tell my kids in the morning "Daddy's been given a Gold star" They'll be jealous as hell :-D Unless the oldest one thinks it's a BSA Gold Star and says "Not another motorbike ?"
Stefano
Hiya, The bike at the left of photo N°2 looks like a Rudge Multi, but I wouldn't bet my Morris on it ;-) Merry Christmas to all, Stef
Rlangham
I've seen the NMM Clyno with my own eyes, it's beautiful! Would love one myself
