rewdco
Nice job Sam! FYI, these leather straps have also been used on the late-war WD/CO (probably the bikes that were produced parallel to the WD/RE production)... Thank you, I believe they were slightly longer but I do already have a template strap for the late WD/CO 🙂If anyone wanted a set.
Ron
Jan could my RAF CO (S14219) be eligible for a leather strap? Ron
rewdco
This is the works RAF contract picture Ron. Looks like a rubber band. And considering that the WD/CO has a conical downtube, pointing to the bottom, I can't imagine that the leather strap will stay in place for a long time... Ron
Here are two types Sam. The first ones are the generic ones that I use. But you have to be carful about buying them, because there are lots that are just stamped out from hard neoprene sheet and have no stretch to them. I've never bothered with the loop affair shown in the first listing!! Flying_flea
Ah right I thought if it wasn’t overly accurate one could be cut from a rubber sheet to get closer to authenticity.
