pc1959
There are quite a few tanks here that I had never heard of, Caernarvon for one and what looked like a Russian one in the mix as well. Poor old Saracen loses a wheel in front of everyone Quite a few dodgy looking dictator types in the crowd as well! Apologies if you have all seen it before
Nick Johns
Interesting film, the firing range is Lulworth ranges, the tank display is on training ground opposite Clouds hill, TE Lawrences cottage, near to Bovington camp
Pzkpfw-e
The Russian one's a T34/85, a bit of Korean War booty, I assume. Probably the one now on display at Bovington. The Caernarvon, was used in chassis development for the Conqueror tank, it was basically a Conqueror's hull, with a Centurion's turret, as the 120mm gun, was delayed. Bet they were embarrassed with the Saracen breaking a rose joint.
