ArtistsRifles
Found these vids up on YouTube - quite good footage of a privately owned OT-90 being put through it's paces over in Europe. Watch out for the branch and the camera man incident in item #2    #1 #2 #3 #
Rick W
Blimey, they look a bit nippy! Whats the top speed on those things?
ArtistsRifles
According to the book - about 40 mph........
Mark
I hope that hatch did not come down on that kids fingers in No:3 :schocked:
ArtistsRifles
Likewise! :-) I think, though, the upper hatches are spung assisted in the up position and need a strong heave to close them. What intrigues me is the missile on the front of the turret - carried by BMP1's with the 73mm gun but the OT-90 has the 14.5mm mg (confirmed by the turret shape) and as far as I can find out that never had the missile rail.... Weird or what.....
BobFox
Great Vids Neil - I bet you can't wait to your hands on your OT-90. Any news on date of arrival ?. Cheers. Bob.
ArtistsRifles
Not yet Bob. If I haven't heard at the end of this month I'll chase Richard up at Russian Truck. He did say September was an approximate date for delivery. Mind you - once here it neds to be modified for UK roads as regards lighting, horn, indicators etc.
ArtistsRifles
Talk about timing - just had an e-mail from Ricahrd. Export permits for my OT have now all come trhough and he's jsut waiting for the transi permits for Germany. He reckons on another 2 or 3 weeks for those so we'll be looking at shipping the OT-90 into the UK aruond the beginning of OCtober. Wey hey - good news!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D
BobFox
Good news Neil - Look foward to seeing the pic's. How are you intending to move it around to show's etc - Are you able to tow it on a trailer behind the Stolly, or is it a low loader job only. Cheers. Bob. ArtistsRifles
Might be a low-loader job but - having seen the T34 in CMV the other month - I'm hoping I can get it road legal. :-D
