SimonBrown
Close to where I live in North East Hampshire there is the remains of tank testing: Hazeley Heath Tank Testing In the nearby undergrowth there are a couple of sections of tank track lying around, one of which might be from a Churchill. Until recently I was unaware of its existence, but I will take a ride over there at some point, check it out and get some photos of the track sections. In the meantime, does anyone here know any more about the site?
Hair Bear
Hi Simon, I also am not too far from Hazeley, although I only became aware of the existance of these artifacts within recent years. Going back to the late 70's I do remember there was a track leading onto the common somewhere between Arrow lane and Hazeley Bottom that led to a large hole/depression that was being used as a public council tip. I don't know the origins of this feature but may be connected somehow.
