Just after 5pm today on the PM news programme there was this regarding the dropping of poppy leaves. It said the aircraft was a Second World War biplane bomber. a MK1 the actual words were Em Kay One. This shows a lamentable standard of newscript and presentation. Through our BBC Licence fee we pay for this, it is just not good enough....

As we all know, or should know, they were referring to a Swordfish Mk1

Yes I heard that Bob made me cringe whilst was stuck in jam from a day at the Tank Museum. (Ironcally when I got near Ringwood I saw the problem was a broken down tank transporter)

Hi Bob,

The Radio 2 news room were more intelligent, on the 5pm news they actually said it was "the Swordfish" and I think it flew over Yeovil to drop the poppies.
