ColinR
Just wanted to check. What is the PROPER size for Jeep tyres? For example am I going mad or was it correct that I read they where smaller during the war and now larger with the modern tyres we use?!? :? cripp
Standard Jeep tyres are 6.00 x 16. You can get a larger 7.50 x 16. I don't know what benefit the larger ones have, maybe better off road. :dunno: I've not heard the smaller war time argument.
Centurion
The French fitted 6.50 x 16 radials to the Hotchkiss. It lifts the ride height slightly and supposedly gives a smoother ride and I am told it steers better in the wet than bar grips. I havnt driven bar grips but right hand corners in the wet with radial, s is interesting enough :shake: regards Centurion
Enigma
The larger ones give more speed and better milage.
