I am in the process of fitting a "newer" gearbox into the bike so that I can refurb the "original" one. I notice that there appears to be a blanking plug or plate missing from the drive side of the box as I can see the end of one of the shafts. I presume that if I fit it like this I will end up with oil all over the floor! So, has anyone come across this before and can you get these plugs or is it just as easy to make one up and tap/seal it in place? Waddaya Fink?
