remevmb
I tried to tax my Champ last week online. The DVLA site wouldnt do it as it said I required an MOT even though it is declared manufactured 1954 on it's V5. I rang DVLA and they said that if the MOT is still in date then it won't let you tax on line. Luckily, my MOT ran out a few days later. I tried it today and the site allowed me to tax it no problems. This is OK of course, as long as your MOT runs out before your tax does!

This is OK of course, as long as your MOT runs out before your tax does! I had the same problem with my WOT2. DVLA said to use the Post Office, which I did, and they taxed it for me. The reminder had 'MoT required' and also 'Pre 1960 No MoT required' written on it!! DVLA said it was because the MoT was still valid - it had 2 weeks more to run. Tip seems to be, use a Post Officee and take your Log Book with the date of Manufacture on it with you.
