broken arrow
you may well find 20ft lengths very difficult to come by, even new a lot of timber yards will only supply to order this is on the assumption that you are talking of 4x2 timbers or 6x2s as you did not state just wot it was you required in said lengths. fredm
when I built my garage which is approx 25 foot x 28 foot I got 9x3timbers for the roof secondhand from a local demolition firm the guy was very helpful and told me he often came by 30 foot lenghts of 9x3 or there abouts, sadly this firm has now gone but might be worth looking around for reclaim yards or demolition firms, good luck oh and if you get long 9x3s you will need a hand to get them up, fredm
RattlesnakeBob
Haven't got a clue what area you are in mate but it is well worth checking out your local sawmills..... The one down the road from me is a real gem when it comes to cutting specific timber for various projects I've done.... to give you an idea....the timber for a job I did a few months ago was... 9 Lengths 18' long X 6" x 3" in Larch came to £60.00 cash !! beats the pants off any timber merchant for price and don't even think of bothering to price it up from someone such as Travis Perkins or Jewson.....
