john_g_kearney Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 I see that Witham's have nearly new / unused Cargo Lightweight Trailers for sale. The design looks odd to me - does anybody know what the trailers were used for please? http://www.mod-sales.com/direct/vehicle/,30,/44621/Penman.htm John Quote
Rangie Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Penman make a range of trailers for various uses, everything from bespoke box trailers to 50-tonne nuclear flask carriers! These ones are the latest in a line of general service unitary chassis trailers. Used for mounting generators, compressors, bowsers and GS bodies etc. The older brothers are the likes of the Arrows/Reynolds-Boughton, the Brockhouse 1-ton and the granddaddy Ben-Hur. I really fancy one of these but I shall wait till they come down in price a tad........ :-D Alec. Quote
0644hunt Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 These are nearly new Generator trailers, they arrived at withams with generators on and they are taking them off. If you look at the pics you can see the mount marks. Quote
john_g_kearney Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 Many thanks for the elucidation. John. Quote
