medal ribbon

Hi folks,

picked this Wing Commanders No2 Jacket up the other weekend, got one ribbon on it, but my question is why? no other marks where ribbons would be, the unusual thing is that the M.I.D. leaf is mounted onto the ribbon, not directly onto the jacket.

I am wondering if it was a made up jacket? The pilots wings dont look right either.

What you all think?

Mark

According to "official" sources, a MiD oakleaf is worn on plain material matching the garment on which worn IF there is no campaign medal awarded or relevant upon which the MiD can be worn........I assume that the blue-coloured ribbon may be a close match to the blue-grey uniform upon which worn......
