mark m uk
A friend recently found this and sent me pictures - I advised him to buy it because I thought it may be an Airbourne Para cart. However, After a bit of interweb research, it seems another possibility is a Machine gun cart? Or, of course it, may be a milk trolley from the 1960s. Can anyone confirm what it is - and, what should I offer for it ? Thanks, regards- Mark. I should mention that the tyres are made by Dunlop, and are marked 'Hand cart' Edited May 5, 2012 by mark m uk
Tony B
Don't know about a machine gun. But it might well be a wirless cart. The tyres may be marked War Grade.

Runflat
The frame inside with straps is a possible clue to its use. Do you have better photos? I can't make them out. RattlesnakeBob
Just a suggestion....to me it looks similar to the accumulator / battery trolleys used to start up WW2 era fighters ? .. .....sure I've seen similar carts in groundcrew/airfield WW2 photos??? Great War truck
I think you might be right. It has got very little ground clearance so i dont think it is for going "off road" so to speak. i cant imagine towing that across a ploughed field for example. mark m uk
Really grateful for the replies. I have just been offered this - how much cash should I offer? What would be fair? Thanks again, chaps. Regards, Mark.
lynx42 Rick Cove
Similar one here, i dont think this was its official use though. That photo is of an Australia Jungle Handcart. These were very necessary in New Guinea and the islands. I have one and there are only a few in private hands. I'll look out some photos when I get back home. regards Rick.
