Scotch Harry
Soles look Military but no NSNs etc inside,Civvy or Issue?
wdbikemad
I suspect these are issue, dating from "Gulf War One", and probably RAF issue....? Seemingly, the good old "brothel creepers" were popular at the time and far more suitable for RAF than infantry needing a high-leg combat boot....... Note the old DMS boot sole...the moulds still probably surviving by the early 90s.......... Edited May 3, 2012 by wdbikemad
Scotch Harry
Thanks. Strange they have no Military issue markings inside.
wdbikemad
The sole has typical MoD size markings, plus the width fitting, not usually offered with commercial products..... I suspect that these were sourced from a commercial supplier in bulk.....also, several of my old issue boots lack a full NSN but do have other contract or reference marks....
