rustyaustinchamp
OK, warming to a theme now, I had a dig through my toolbox today and came up with two more oddities. The top one in the photo says on the side: British Britool Made For Vauxhall Bedford Vehicles. The other side 4109 9/16 AF The bottom one Made in Britool England on one side, the other 50 AF 1/2 4505 56 AF 9/16. The unusual design of them, I wonder if anyone can shed any light on why they are so shaped or what vehicle the first spanner was intended for? Thanks Martin
0 rippo
Hello, The top one is part of the tool kit, on bedford, mw, ox, oy and QL, not to sure of the other one. Regards Rippo

0 Gerry275
Hi Martin, While messing about on the jeep I had a look for said Britool ringspanner, yes it's the same- it also has CHROME ALLOY-WAR FINISH on the side between make on top and size on bottom. 0 rustyaustinchamp
Thanks to all who replied on this and the previous thread. Gerry: as your number is the same, there is probably a list out there of ref numbers identifying all Britool spanners, this is something like '4205 spanner, tappet, adjusting'. (Steve, I was half thinking it might be an MW spanner, its currently getting plenty of use on my Champ, no doubt about that) Thanks again Martin
