Phil that configuration of Azure Blue (BSC3181C 104) & Signal Red (BSC381C 537) is for LLAD & field flights.

 

Top left hand corner is the unit number. Lower right is the sub-unit & vehicle identification.

 

Not an Army sign as described on e bay!

51 SQN and vehicle D2 was at RAF Catterick in the 80,s

 

cant tell you the vehicle its off though

forgot to add its a CVRT SQN

 

did hope its from an RAF 127 like the one I have, still need to find my ones unit from 1990s

 

here is a photo of a 127 with the same type of sign

All the Rock signs were marked with SQN no in the top left for Rapier and CVRT and the bottom letter is flight and vehicle number

TSF at RAF Catterick later became 4001flt was marked in the same way 4001 top eft with vehicle fleet number bottom right

 

Easy enough to make one up if you know the Rapier field sqn numbers for that period.
