0 davewithington Posted December 26, 2011 Share Posted December 26, 2011 Pre war, most of the better French manufacturers made their vehicles right hand drive, as did Hispano Suiza, Alfa Romeo etc. I presume thses trucks followed the same practice. I always understood that right hand drive was safer in Alpine regions, so that you could see more easily the point at which you would go over the edge! Have often tried to find out why but my Italian just not quite good enough. Also why do continental lorries have smaller wheels? Is it just cost.
