I have just aquired a Brockhouse office trailer and its missing its external light lenses and the brake susies Also as with everything military I would imagine it has a user manual, anyone have a any of these, or can point me in the right direction?

Generally you would find the chassis contract plate (6" x 3") mounted vertically on the chassis in the vicinity of the front (tow eye) end & the body contract plate (which could be a different manufacturer) mounted vertically on the lower front corner of the side of the body. Both of these tend to be on the near sides of the trailer.

The airlines from fittings to couplings are short on these trailers, not susies, but rubber hoses, couplings depend on your towing vehicle. For these parts it is easiest to go to a motor factor who supplies truck parts. The light lenses are a military pattern, commonly seen on army Land Rovers, Bedford trucks, etc. Take a look on ebay as often they are cheaper on there.

The plate on the right hand side of the trailer reads:-

TRAILER MAINTENANCE BINNED

2 TON 4 WH RUBERY OWEN

MK2 CONTRACT NO. WV/7446

VEHICLE NO 03FJ05 CHASSIS NO 216

Covered by CES no P/33909/4

Sorry my mistake its not a Brockhouse.

I assume this is:

NSN 2330-99-808-6928

Asset Code No. 3075-0735

Publications

Illustrated Parts Catalogue Army Code No. F6061 Pub. July 1983 (ie fiche)

EMER WHEELED VEHICLES U 260/9 - 269/9

But there was no User Handbook.
