hardyferret
Last sat in the pouring rain Jack, Jess and I picked up the latest project. A 1/2 ton landrover ( lightweight) 2A built 11/12/68 400th 0ff production line so in 1st batch. Saved from being broken and it's chassis and tax exemption being sold!! The whole escapade was so emotional for Jack and I, we had to have a celebration drink , if I remember rightly we left Jack's at about 2.30 sun morning. Jack it appears then tucked into a hearty helping on beans on toast, I digress. Later sunday changed carb plugs leads and fuel pump, and it runs quite nicely. The plan is to rebuild onto a new galvanised chassis, along with after rebuilding the bulkhead and having it galvanised. The 2a lightweight is a rare beast now as most have been worked to death and offroaded, and I have hunted for quite a while. Hope to get pics up of restoration, soon.... Regards Hardyferret lightweight.... only my vehicle

Degsy
Jerry, be careful about galvanising the bulkhead, they tend to distort because of the heat generated and can even become total scrap.
