CMP Temp guage & sender

Hi Guys

Does anyone have a source of, or know where best to obtain, a temp guage and sender unit for our Chevy F60L CMP Wrecker (216 engine now being upgraded to a 235) Would a GMC and other US vehicles of that era have been standard (Jeep/Dodge etc)? As can be seen in photo 2 it is now stuck at 72 degrees (presumed DegC as it originally came from Holland)

Thanks in advance

Gary, I've never seen anything at 72oC in Glasgow, surely some mistake.

I'm not 100% sure, but the standard 2" round repro has adapters that fit Dodge and jeep, may well fit the CMP head too. Can you compare that sender unit with abroken jeep or Dodge one?

Off to the wilds of Uddingston tomorrow and then back up to Aberdeen - no time to work on the toys.

Gary,

The dash with round gauges was introduced ca. 1944 to enable the use of off the shelf gauges from US manufacturers. Any supplier of Dodge-GMC-Jeep parts should be able to help you out.

Getting in touch with LWD parts is best done via phone.

HTH,

Hanno
