Jack
come on, this throttle assembly is slightly over engineered isn't it? Perhaps this is why American gear is so popular? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/richmorris/ScamPedal.jpg[/img]

Richard Farrant
'sammy'the Scammell is an exceptional restoration project. Jack, Is it a tank transporter, artillery tractor or breakdown? A pic of the outside would be welcome. Richard
Jack
Hi Richard. Here she is in all her glory - this beauty is something to be seen and total respect to Tim for rebuilding her. He said that it really was a total wreck when he bought her and mentioned that only 400 where built. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/richmorris/Scam1.jpg[/img]

ArtistsRifles
come on, this throttle assembly is slightly over engineered isn't it? Perhaps this is why American gear is so popular? You mean on American gear you get either a spring washer OR a lock-nut OR a split-pin as fasteners whereas on British engineering you get a spring washer AND a lock-nut AND a split-pin ??? (Don't believe me ?? - look at a Stalwarts clutch mechanism.....)
