Lynx22B
Our Regiment has a runner MK 5, but recently the red caution light on the Magneto reset has come on. Rotating the reset button does nothing, and a Mag check is normal. Any idea what the problem is?
Adrian Barrell
That is the low coolant level warning light. Two floats in the header tank operate switches that illuminate the warning light and cut off the ignition. The mag reset switch is only for emergency use to enable the vehicle to be moved to a position of safety. You need to check the coolant level! Lynx22B
Another question if I may: What is the preferred fuel for the Meteor engine in this application? 91 Octane or would aviation 110/1130 Low Lead work (or not work)
Adrian Barrell
It will run on either though on AVGAS you may need to advance the ignition. I would run it on normal unleaded autogas.
Meteor mark 4B
Presumably you can't get MT80 now!!
