Gunnery site remains to be protected.

The remains of the gunnery site on the Great Orme Llandudno have been scheduled as an Ancient Monument by CADW the organisation for historic site preservation in Wales. The Coast Artillery School was based on these sites after moving from Shoeburyness in Essex in 1940. The site was mainly used for training gunners before they joined units based in many parts of the world but also assisted in the development of new weapons, tactics and instrumentation.
