Hi, my name is Robert and I live in Melbourne, Australia. I have joined this forum in the hope that I can find more information about the R.S.F 11th Battalion 1942/1945. In particular any of your members that where involved with the 11th. I noticed that a few of your members posted their comments on a magnificent book ( An it's called a Tam O Shanter ) My father passed away 3 years ago and would not talk a great deal about the horrors of the war. Reading Kenneth West's book was an eye opener. My father,s name is William Ernest Smith, known to army buddies as Ernie, he served with The Royal Scots Fusiliers 11th battalion ( Polar Bears ) from 1942 until 1945 when he joined with the Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry until 1957. Any information on RSF 11th and in particular anyone who knew dad would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Robert Smith.
