Wartime Blackout lights

If you have one black-out light then it goes on the left or near side and the other mounting should have a cover made of a large washer with a cup square bolt through it. There is a bit in the 1945 workshop manual that says the headlight can be moved to the off side when the vehicle is used on the continent, but I have never seen a photo of this being done. I beleive only one headlight was used as an ecconomy measure later in the war and both my Ford vehicles had only one headlight.
