navytrailer
 Well my first name is Linton though most people would use my second name Ray, so I'll go for that. I dwell in the Western part of Scotland and am currently trying to identify a trailer recently given to me. It is 13'-6" in length and 7'-0" wide, has 4 7-50x16 wheels and all of them steer. I think the chassis is off a lorry or truck and is set up upside down. The whole is painted grey and its tow bar is sprung at the link end. The trailer is said to be from Dumbarton Aircraft factory ex WW2 and looks like it has been made up from bits and pieces. We think it is capable of carrying 2-3 tons even in its "rusty state", it has recently been used to carry awooden boat. I know this is a bit of a technical introduction but I was educated at a Technical High School and hail from Doncaster Yorks. I very pleased to be able to use and view your magnificent site. Ray :-)

Old Bill
Thanks Ray. I have just had a look but it is a bit of a poser. It is slightly out of my era but I shall look forward to reading the comments from those more knowledgable than I ! Steve
