A friend of ours from the 100th Bomb Group, Jessie the Jeep, posted some pictures some time ago of my halftrack. I'd like to bring you up to date with some of the pictures. As I generally work outside I lost four months over winter, due to not having a covered working area. Now 3 or 4 of us have now gotten together and got a workshop/unit which is lit and heated, so I have been able to press on with the rebuild to this stage. Great forum, and thanks for the welcome. P.S. Will keep you up to date as time goes on.

A post further down the page has more detail on this second set.

Was this one of the White Half Tracks that Rudi Pommec was selling in Europe? If so, we went over to look at these vehicles at his unit in Holland. The project looks to be making fantastic progress - Love the White/Grey wall tyres!!

Sorry for the delay in posting these pictures - It's been a cold winter and I haven't been able to do as much as I might have liked.

As you can see I've moved inside now, and am trying to press on. Hopefull I'l be able to post more photos in a month or so.

Thanks to those who have responded to the photos. In reply to M5Clive - yes, this is one of those halftracks.

I am seriously jealous!

I knew when we looked at those White Half Tracks at Rudi's place that they would make splendid projects for restoration and I am really pleased that yours in progressing so well.

The work undertaken thus-far is a credit to your effort and enthuasium (and of course the width of your wallet!!!)
