Posting a google map?

How do you capture and post an image off a google map onto here?

Sometimes If you copy the address bar and post it you only link to the google home view for some reason, I take a screen dump ( control/print screen) into a photosuite (paint) and save it as a jpeg.

Try Alt/PrtScrn to copy just the active window. If you shrink a Google map to just the area you want, this will make for a screen dump with less margin to edit out.

I dont know about posting a Googgle map on here but thanks to a useful workshop guide in a computer magazine I''ve just been able to post an interractive one onto my website that enables you to have pins to locations. Now done for all the events I''ve photographed. Really chuffed with it. It's even fully viewable via Google Earth!

I use Google Earth to post location pictures as it has a simple File>save>save image function that G Maps does not seem to have.
