It's not the flag they have a problem with, it's the pole which he only put up a few months ago (rather mumbled by the narrator)... Making a show of the ritual of taking up and putting down implying he's been doing it for years). He probably does salute the flag puts it up in the morning and night takes it down at night etc flags are fine flown attached to the house just not on freestanding poles... daft rule but there y'go. So its the not the flag per se... its the manner in which the flag is displayed... But yes, its a dum state of affairs and if... if...IF... the powers that be were going to bend the rules surely a MoH recipient would be the one to do it with...
