No 36 Service Flying Training School

Just been talking to my elder sister, who has been visiting a long-lost cousin who had some of our later father's property that he sent back home during the war, while he was based at Penhold, Alberta, Canada.

Apparently No36 had Airspeed Oxfords, and our father was an LAC in the RAF.

Are there any forum members who may have any more information about No36 at all?

Our father was Percival Colbourne Edwards, he died in the UK of pneumonia with complications in 1946, the year that I was born. His service number was 1224819, he was in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, he was 25 when he died. His is buried at Bandon Hill cemetery, near Beddington, Surrey in a Commonwealth War Graves Commission grave.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Peter
