HWade
Hello Davey I have have just restored another one of these gennys in my collection, there a very nice little unit, and there a quiet unit when running. I am missing a couple of bits off mine but I have got it running very well and it kicks out power well. I did have to get the radiator recored as mine was frosted badly, and I had to fit a new core plug, I was lucky the block wasnt cracked. Is yours a 220 volt or 120volts. There were several variations of these genys.good luck with the restoration. Thanks Howard

HWade
Hello Davey Looking at the photos the unless you have taken it off the air breather is missing, so are the spark plugs, also the rad cap is missing. The two wires that come out of the side of the panel are your 230 volt supply. The two connections that are on the side panel are your dc connections for a 12 volt battery electric start.on the other side of the panel should be the start and stop buttons. From the pics your rad looks ok but you wont know till you fill it with water, the exhaust is not right but i have seen that type fitted to others, the correct exhaust is like a pancake but I have never seen these available, i recon they run quieter with whats on there. If theres anything else let me know. listerdiesel
There is a manual with schematics on our websites: http://www.stationary-engine.co.uk/Onan/OnanManualMenu1.htm http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/Onan/OnanManualMenu1.htm Pictures of one of our 5 units: http://www.stationary-engine.co.uk/Onan/OnanMenu4.htm http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/Onan/OnanMenu4.htm Of the ones we have, two are not complete but one of them is nearly so. The other 3 are complete, one is on the button and just needs fuel, one is as received but believed to be a runner, the other is similar. All are 240V, some are 50Hz some are 60Hz. Spares generally are not too good in the UK, and many owners are reluctant to break sets up as they would prefer to find parts to get them going, as you are. The main parts that go missing or get damaged are the same for nearly all the sets, air cleaners, exhausts, control box parts, magnetos. The first two digits before the '.' on the serial number gives the month and year of manufacture, yours looks like 75 so that will be July 1945.
