Hi Jack I have been contacted urgently by the army museum / camp at Middle Wallop in Hants. They are having an event for the Corp and veterans of airborne forces re Arnhem on Friday and Saturday 4th and 5th September 2009. Those attending will include paratroopers and glider pilots who took part in operation Market Garden at Arnhem. The event will include a mess meal on the Friday evening followed by a family open day all day Saturday where various displays and entertainments will be on show. The organisers arranged for a display of armoured vehicles to be available for the Friday evening and during the family day on Saturday having been organised for over a year. They have now been let down by those promising to display armoured vehicles at very very short notice. (about three days ago!!) My urgent request is for anyone who has armour available for display who would consider making it available for the Friday evening and all day Saturday. A LOW -LOADER IS AVAILABLE FOR FREE TRANSPORT OF THE ARMOUR TO AND FROM THE EVENT PROVIDED BY THE MILITARY. Can anyone assist please. Urgent replies would be really appreciated.
