  7. Literally knocked on several farmers doors, first knocked on this one 2 years ago but he wasn't ready & told me to come back 6months time etc. as farm activities were changing, finally it was sorted. Great for me now as only 1mile away, saves me a lot of time & fuel.
  8. Hello Gaylon Welcome to the forum here. I have since moved my vehicle closer to home near Leamington but I can ask the farmer for you & will let you know. Once you've had a chance to browse around the forum it might be worth introducing yourself in the Introductions & Welcomes section where you'll get a warm reception and answers to any questions you may have, there are some very knowledgeable chaps here with a wealth of information to share. cheers Paul

  11. oh boy, that looks like a question of not how many miles to the gallon but how many gallons to the mile!
  12. Yes that Kraz is a beast, need to take a better picture as you don't get a feel of its size. Jim bought it to tow his Russian BMP but he's got quite a few projects to do. He also has this mongrel, a Zil 131 with a Bedford body, mounted with a Bofors gun & just room for his German bike & sidecar. And probably a bent barrel!
  13. HI H1HU, thanks for bringing the Huey to Blenheim last year, it made my day, an awesome sound & liked the touching tribute with names on the side of those servicemen lost. cheers Paul
  14. Hurrah! how many months to get it there? & Best o luck with registration, cheers Paul
  15. That Zil looks a beast, can it turn corners or do the rear wheels steer as well?

  18. Think Bob has done a great job of burying the Stanton but still more work to do. We made the bank steep to hopefully deter little ones climbing, still need to make safe along with some signs. Also found a suitable ladder & period benches. Then need to make up some steel doors & will put concrete slabs down on floor. And to finish off the visitor experience I found a 5min soundtrack of an air raid with sirens, planes, bombs & ack ack to play inside.
  19. I'm hitching a lift in a friends Lightweight for the Saturday, not been there before but looks a great site
  20. Tigger, there is one here if still looking: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mahindra-Indian-Brave-Willy-CJ3B-Military-Style-Jeep_W0QQitemZ120269817802QQihZ002QQcategoryZ122307QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem A bit expensive in my view for what it is, but looks tidy & considerably cheaper than a Willys

    Skips!

Glad its not just me then, I find then fascintating. Someone hires it to clear stuff out by day, visitors remove items by night, other visitors dump stuff by night and so it goes on, so the level is constantly changing. There was one the other week on news where someone put a table in with a damaged leg but was spotted & turned out it was made by a well known furniture maker & it fetched £40,000!!! And the original owner was very grateful.
  22. ouch, what a pain to sort out. Hope they don't blame you for being camouflaged!
