Hi there , I know a man , in Belgium , who has made a very nice replica of the 6 Pr ATG

I prefer the factory color , as they went in service with the US Army , WW 2 period After cleaning my block thoroughly , I found no color at all , everything was very rusty

While restoring my GMC , open cab , tool set , I've separated the engine - gearbox from the frame and want to restore it to original color , Does anybody knows what's the right color for the "power unit ", I've understood , on other net blogs, it should be painted olive drab , but glossy paint , Before going into action , I'd rather ask the "specialists" on this forum ;

No French nor Belgian , rather Russian , as the model is the same , except for the finn on top

This is the way we restore armour , it used to be a M 10 , good base for a restauration job , unfortunately the mayor of this village supports the idea of "transforming swords into ploughs" , a shame for our generation and the men who used these machines to bring liberation over Europe

Hi everybody , As a citizen of a Belgian village , I have to remind you that we had the German Army two times on a "visit" , 1914 , they came over and stayed almost all over the country for four years , bringing real terror to the people , massive excecutions , burning down city's and villages , bringing lots of damage to the population and goods. After the first WW , almost everybody felt a big hate to the German population , and with the outbreak of WW II , this was the main reason that lots of people tried to escape , mainly to France , to stay ahead of the German Army , in vain , because the German army reached the North Sea , before the refugees could cross the border . During the four years of occupation , the population got "used" to the German presence , fraternization began , shops had German clients , some girls fell in love with German soldiers , etc . The situation normalized , until the D-Day landings , when people realized Germany would not win this war , attempts , sabotage acts , the war came closer again , lots of young men enlisted to fight the ennemy ( some men changed the German uniform to that of the resistance ..) After the war , Germans were not wanted in our region , eg, my grandfather personally resisted when I and my parents told him we made friendshiop with a German family from Frankfurt , that was in the seventies . He told us that no german ever would put foot on his property again !!! I think the people of our generation do not longer blaim the German people of what has happened , as we grow older , we realize that a whole nation cannot be hold resposable of what a few men have brouht to mankind . I personally have respect for every soldier , as they were only doing their job , some enjoyed , others didn't , on risc of their own life.

The night of July 20 -21 st , criminals broke in at my home and shed . Almost my complete collection of militaria got stolen , among it , my collection of fire arms , machine guns , bazooka M9A1 , helmets , German paratrooper helmet , ammunitions , peaked caps , grenades , equipment and a lot more . A (almost ) complete list is available for who is intrested to help with my search for my goods . This means a very great loss for me , after about 35 years of collecting and spending money to it . So please beware if you're offered nice items at cheap prices , because I handed over a detailed list -and serial numbers to our police forces. So everybody of good will, thanks for helping me with this delicate matter

Yes , the old battery cells have been removed ages ago , bulb looks ok , and the switch , on the bottom plate is a pressure switch , one push is on , next push to shut off

Restauration almost finished , want to take it to a show next month , so I'm looking to find the matching canvas cover , to give it some protection against are famous Belgian weather , So if anyone has a canvas for sale , or any information , please let me know , thanks all

is it for military use ?

I found no markings , nor symbols on it

2 road wheels , solid rubber tyres , marked "VORWERK" and tyre dimensions , also visible are several "hits" on the tyres , I think they're from a German Gun Carriage , but I've never seen that model of rim , which rather looks "Russian" made , Who knows more about this ?

Found a chassis of what I believe a Bedford MW truck , with its original tyres 1940 patern , marked AVON

Remembering D-Day , Practical impossible to stall a military vehicle outside , when you're not around it , impossible to take it to work , but lest we forget is D-Day , that date (and many more) is in our hearts and in our minds , we feel "connected" with them who were there , as I spoke to several elder people today , some I had to remind , others still had a"fresh memory "about it. Bad weather over here , one vet told me , it was much worse then !!

this torch was given to me by family of a late veteran , who served with Royal Sgnal Corps. They told me it belonged to his equipment , can anyone confirm , that this is a " military " torch ?
