  2. Hi Jack,

very sorry to hear about your troubles  but no matter if your a professional hauler/ truck driver or a sunday trailer user to take rubbish to the local tip, once it is connected to your vehicle the trailer/load is solely the towing vehicles driver responsability, not his mate`s or passenger or mother who said it looks o.k. but the driver`s and in the company the next in line is his immediate supervisor/ manager these are the guy`s to contact...be calm.......present your case...lay the blame at their door 9using the advice supplied here). This should be enough be for engaging solicitor etc. (IMHO)

  3. [font=Verdana]To be honest and despite what Rick just said - they are cheap as they have huge amounts of style and grace and elegance and they aren't many folks around who can compliment that,

self analysis eh Jack  :pfrt: :pfrt:

More suspense this morning it is over cast with gusts of wind of up to 25mph so the visit that was to take place to inspect the runways at Upottery by the pilot who will fly the C/47 has been put off until next week. One thing is for sure the weather always has the last word !!

As yet we have no plans for camping on the Friday night but we shall be about and working there and all being well I shall have my sons caravan up there. for those wishing to come in on Friday I feel sure we will accommodate. But If you do come early you could get roped into help out. I know from last year that you guys normally muck in, I recall two guys coming in the night before the event last year and I was concerned for the security of a Spitfire that we had parked up, I slept easy knowing their was a couple of lads in a small tent right beside it. 6. Hi Lloyd,

most of the buckets i have seen in ww2 use by the germans were of metallic in nature.

Those markings are not of typicall german equiptment markings and the swastica stamp may well of been added to increase value and or falsify item

  10. Hi all,

just returned from Beaulieu, christ what piss pour weather, but what a show which i believe will grow in the future. Had a very quick intro with lightweight but he moved camp early next morning (must have been the wife snoring but he claimed it was wind !! ) recognised some faces(vehicles) from here, met Berni, Ross and friends, but i was always engaged on some task or another to really seek members out :-(. Saturday was great weather wise and managed to get a few pictures to post later.

Sunday things began to deteriorate with the rain etc and sunday night was pretty horrible which is when quite a few packed up (or blew away)

As mentioned this was a great setting and there is room for large numbers to participate and as far as i can gather the museum staff etc are keen to have us back next year (i hear that provisional booking for three more years have been pencilled in) Lord Montague looked pretty Frail as he listened to the pipe band but he must be getting on in years.

Well all we unpacked the van jeep is in the garage and the sun IS shinning outside >:( typical

  11. Hi Fred,

the main problem is most members travel with local groups/friends they have met up with in previous years. The Americas field is dotted with groups, with members of the forum it is just a matter of tracking em down :cofee:
