  1. Hi all. Got some details from the vehicle plate. Army reg - 09EA60 Mk2 Type B Class 1 repair / 10/89 / 37RW Wksps. Ring any bells with anyone? Markheliops
  2. Too right Chris. I took the For Sale signs down myself after Steve took me for a test drive - to Somerfields and back!!! I thought he would just take me round the fields - top bloke Steve. Markheliops
  3. Hi Jonathan. It was parked opposite the mad lot. Actually, it belonged to a great geezer called Steve - part of the Essex crew. Wanted to downsize his vehicles. Runs and drives a treat and came complete with slave lead, drivers windscreen, helmet and intercom, all radio bits, track tools and pins and 24 new road wheels and a big box of spares. Very happy with the purchase. Markheliops
  4. Just in time then. Hope your problem with the fuel pump has been sorted - didn't seem to effect your speed in the arena. :-D
  5. Thanks sirhc. The army reg is on a plate next to the drivers seat. I will get as much detail as I can and post it on here. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction as to what literature I need to purchase. Haven't really had a good look at it yet - too busy playing. Any idea when the pack needs changing - I presume they do it on hours. Markheliops
  6. Sorry Lee - Meant your tent. :-D Lee very kindly lent me his 9 x 9 for the duration of the show. Many thanks Lee. Would have been a bit wet without it. Declined the offer of swinging your Mk 1 Ferret from my WLF as the cables are 60 odd years old and haven't been load tested. Didn't want to break anything else. Cheers mate. Markheliops
  7. Thanks guys. Wasn't expecting to win anything with the Ward at W+P. To be honest, there were better Wards there but I did make the effort to show what the vehicle can do by getting the attachments out etc. I also drove about every now and then to show the vehicle off despite only having single drive. Fun at times. The judge was heard saying he liked to see the vehicles used so I suppose that went in my favour. After my Dad passing away and the trouble I have had with the WLF, I was over the moon to walk into my tent and see the certificate on my chair. Markheliops
  8. Well done that man. Look forward to seeing the Cent come back to life - hopefully for W+P 2008.
  9. I'm second from the left - arms in "God it's good to be here" fashion. I moved away from tootallmike as he makes me look small. 8-) And yes - I was wearing my HMVF polo shirt. Cracking photographs Zoomer - thanks for clicking away. Markheliops
  10. I over-spent - but what the hell - it's only once a year. Markheliops
  11. Hi Mark Whats the score with the Cent - Is is salvageable or is it destined for spares? Markheliops
  12. I haven't got it - honest Lee. Markheliops
  13. Hi all. Just returned from War and Peace where me and a friend decided to purchase an FV432. Apparently it's a Mk1 that has been through a MK2 workshop overhaul. Can anyone advise me on what manuals I need to purchase as there are operator handbooks for the Mk 1 and Mk 2. I want to purchase the above plus servicing schedule, parts catalogue, etc. It has the multi-fuel engine - if it helps. A bit confused. :dunno: Markheliops PS. Will write something about War and Peace when I get some time too. Unfortunately my camera decided to break so no pictures but will do a write up.
  14. Is it just me - I actually feel sorry for the soft pink one. Must be getting all emotional in me old age. Markheliops
  15. Well done that man. Very nice truck Mark. :-D Have to crawl over it when I can get near it. Markheliops
  16. Yeah - I'll second that. ;-) Thanks Neil. Markheliops
  17. Hi Neil. Very sorry to hear your news. I know how you are feeling as I lost my Dad in May as you are probably aware. It's a very hard thing to come to terms with but I remember the good times and things that make me smile when I think of my Pops. Your Father sounds like a character and similar to my Dad. One of the old school who was set in his ways and wasn't going to let the techno world change him. God bless em. My condolences to you and your family Neil. Markheliops
  18. Hi all. I'm off to War and Peace after my night duty ends at 0900hrs Monday morning. Hope I get some sleep tonight as I didn't last night. Come and say hi - probably see my legs stuck out underneath the WLF or my tool box flying across the field - depends on how I get on. As already revealed - I'm opposite the helicopters. Thanks Lee. :argh: See you there. Markheliops
  19. Hi all. Delivered the Ward to War and Peace on Friday - bruised and battered - but still made it. Lee saved me a plot - thanks Lee - next to the helicopters!!! I would like to think he done this out of the kindness of his heart but I have a sneaky suspicion he wanted to use the Ward as a windbreaker. Anyway, once I parked the Ward up I had a walk around and came across this. :? Now I was told this was started by a concerned member of HMVF. Donations have been flooding in so far and the end result could be quite promising. I felt obliged to add my own contribution - so I added to the collection but the damn thing wouldn't give my wallet back. Markheliops
  20. Good news Jack and glad it's sorted. The adult conversation method has worked. :-D Markheliops
  21. Hi Mark - Welcome to the Green-a-dome. I'm sure you will quicky come to terms with whats hot - and whats not. :dunno: Pity you haven't a WLF - most people have now a days. I am special ya know - tootallmike told me so. Markheliops
  22. You are correct - recovery vehicles do not require a tachograph by law.
  23. I think a signed petition handed to Roadsure to express peoples views - Wonder how many vehicle owners at Beltring would sign it once they knew the full story. I think it would be more effective than a protest. Could hand it in to the stall during W+P. Any thoughts. Markheliops
  24. Oy, I am listening ya know - behave!!! :offtopic: Nice fleet and welcome to the nutters cabin. Markheliops
