  1. Next one I found was a mans 'War time Finish' in used condition but complete. It also uses the same Wheels, Tyres, Brakes, Cables, Handle Bar, Levers & 40 model Saddle as the Para Bike which is why this is the only one I've found so far. The bike is complete & awaiting assembly, this bike also has wooden pedals.
  2. Next bike I bought was a 'brand new' Ladies 'War Time Finish' bought at an auction after it was found in a house loft of a deceased estate. Same wheels, handle bar grips, War Grade tyres, & other parts as the Para bike which is why I suspect not many survive, note the wooden pedals which are like new & unworn.
  3. A few years back I bought a BSA Para bike which was all original but in a poor state so I had everything shot blasted & then painted in Brown (right or wrong ?) to match the 1942 RAF AM Air Ministry light which I have fitted to it because 3 of my vehicles are RAF. Its stood in my spare room for years but I might get round to assembling it while I'm off :-D
  4. Does anyone know who this Tilly belongs to ? it's a period looking black/white photo but I suspect its a modern restoration ? I'm interested in who made the 2 piece canvas as although its incorrect as far as I know it's exactly what I want to with mine. The original canvas (both of mine still have theirs) would of been one piece & screwed down with a metal strip along the top of the windscreen and along the tops of the doors making it immovable. I like this one as he has had turn buckles fitted along the top of the screen rail making both sections removable. ANY LEADS APPRECIATED PLEASE;)
  5. Hi Simon I was thinking of getting on with the tool box as its a nice indoor job, if you could post / PM or email it to me that would be great. Also drawing for the canvas please as that's another small job I can tick off the list. Regards Ian
  6. Hi Larry not really getting better mate, I've been off work since December 2nd & my 1st Hospital appointment is Monday January 30th & Wednesday February 1st :-( its bloody painful trying to stand up and do anything.
  7. Data Plate, any idea what its Z number would be from this plate & any other info such as date of manufacture etc.
  8. The Tilly I'm restoring was missing its front windscreen & metal surround but luckily one of the many spares that came with it was a N.O.S frame in red oxide :-D The plan is to get 2 pieces of glass cut to size & then send them off to be toughened as although the original's were laminated I've had a bad experience with a windscreen that was pushed open in the corner & cracked across the screen
  9. Sunday, started replacing the damaged wood with new pieces of ash. Once all the woodwork is finished I will strip the trailer down completely & take the chassis, axle etc for shot blasting. On ebay this evening looking for Whitworth coach bolts & square nuts, I have managed to save 90% of the original nuts but very few of the bolts.
  10. Saturday morning, damaged wheel arch's removed and a replacement hitch fitted as the origional hitch had been bolted underneath the drawbar to get the hitch height down but was smashed beyond repair where the tow vehicle had turned to tightly. Wheel arch brackets will need cutting off & reshaping before welding back on.
  11. A few years back I picked up 3 British WW2 10cwt trailers, a Mk1 GS, MK2 GS & a Mortar & ammunition trailer all in the same weekend. Well yesterday I sold the Mk 1 GS & the Mortar & Ammunition trailer is in storage but as I'm off work with a back injury & cant get over to my workshop and progress with other restorations I decided to dig out the MK2 GS at Jane's house & make a start on it. :cool2:
  12. 64EK26 I have the must have accessory for your MW its the 200gallon spanner. I won a 180 & 200 gallon spanner on ebay a year or 2 back & I know John also found a 180 gallon spanner at an auto jumble about the same time. A few weeks back I found & won a second 200gallon spanner just incase someone need it, PM me if interested. Regards Ian
  13. Hi Monty he's about 20 miles from me & that's where I got my 1st set of 9.00x13 tyres from but now he doesn't do them and this company is cheaper anyway so I got the 2nd set from them https://www.bigtyres.co.uk/?gclid=CMfgn_edwtECFY8Q0wod2dEA6Q

  19. What country was this Canadian Headquarters in ? France ?
  20. Hi Simon funnily enough a friend emailed me with the same advise about an hour before I read your post. Well I'm not familiar with this process but I'll give it a go, so I need to get some white decal sheet ? What about the printer, I use an hp Officejet 7500A Wide format but no idea if that's an 'inkjet' printer ?
  21. Has the Land Rover Ambulance got some sort of armour over the body ?

  23. I'm in the process of collecting a pair of these for a friend to restore 1 of them as a living van & tow behind his Matador (the engine & generator are too far gone to restore)
  24. Hi guys I've just bought a couple of WW2 Thermos flasks with very damaged decals (not the ones pictured) Do you know anyone who makes repo decals ? I've checked ebay & the internet & found nothing so far.
