  1. Superb thread Steve. On page 7 on the pic of the 4th Abbot down, there is a blue thing lying on the ground. What is it? Tip of a munition?
  2. Definitely Paul. Im a Romanist at heart so post away. www.whitehallvilla.co.uk Is where I work during the summer.
  3. Thanks Gordon, wont be in work tomorrow, will be on Tuesday. Appreciate that, thanks.

  5. I need some flat braided earth straps. Anyone any suggestions?
  6. Cant help myself, but do know of a heavy transport firm based in Milton Keynes if that helps.
  7. Its a good idea, we have a similar one, maybe worth checking other areas, which not only does WW2 , but covers all history of your local area. Worth a look. General link http://www.mkheritage.co.uk/ Village specific link, with more details on WW2. http://www.mkheritage.co.uk/hav/index.html I think it would be great if every place had a similar historical website, but you may want to check that somebody hasnt already done it first!
  8. MVT. Ex member of IMPS due to downsizing subs for various things. (I recall asking this many moons ago...)
  9. I have been trying to get in touch with the company. With no results as yet!
  10. Good link. Thank you!
  11. I use F.J for the Champ. £100 fully comp same as last year.
  12. My other half loves it when the car insurance is due, and house insurance for that matter. She spends her evenings the week before checking out all the comparison sites, she finds a good deal and then rings them up. 3 Years ago the insuance for our Lexus RX300 4x4 was about £350 fully comp. A few weeks ago she got that down to £249, still fully comp. She done the same with the house insurance. When we moved in about 4 years ago it was over £450 home and contents, cover up to £1m etc. As of a few weeks ago we now pay £120 for the same cover.
  13. Are they advertised for sale anywhere?
  14. I very nearly bought an H type last week.
  15. Kegresse top of my shopping list. There has been a thread on these before. To hear that there was one near Milton Keynes for sale annoys me, despite the fact it was many years ago!
  16. The bracket is like the Champ one, but the spotlight is not o.e. for Champ.
  17. Looks like a good project, hope to see more pics!
  18. A valid point. They would have all come over Olive Drab. Not specifically talking about BoB. But post 42. It would make sense to keep the jeeps in OD as you have said.
  19. Case in point Mark. I have seen pics of jeeps in blue, only seen them at shows, not seen them "in service" pics.
  20. Very concise answer Mr Barrell!
  21. What was the colour code for an RAF Jeep WW2? Also what colour would the canvas have been?
