  1. Cleaned off the slimy mould yesterday, used car wash brush and Turtle wax car shampoo! What a difference! Doesn't look half so bad now! Easier to see the rot now. Windscreen is going to be the big problem. Can't get replacement surrounds.
  2. Hi, Still has the 50th Division markings. Still got the extra step. Chris
  3. Hi, Yes was from the North East, but nothing like that sort of money! Chris
  4. Hi, Just recieved my new project. Has been stood outside for a number of years, the rear was covered up so is in very good condition. The cab as not weathered too well and there is a lot of corrosion. The brakes are seized on and no clutch. The engine starts well, the seller originally stopped using the truck because after a coulple of miles it would lose power, so this requires some investigation. Hope you enjoy the mouldy photo's. If you have any info on the trucks let me know. Chris
  5. Check the battery's first! I have had this with 2 Ferrets both times had one cell down on a battery. Use a Hydrometer to check the cells. If you do need to change the starter pm me. It is doable without dismantling too much. Chris
  6. Here are some pics of my Umarex Browning Hi Power. This is a blank firing model. It is the 8mm version and is considered one of the best copies ever made. If anybody is interested it is for sale. It comes with 58 pattern holster and belt, 45 rnds blank ammo spare mag and original box. £200+pp or I will be at Stoneleigh. Chris
  7. I will be there again this year with the Ferret. Probably for the last time in the Ferret, after 6 years I have decided to sell the old girl . See you there with my for sale sign. Chris

  12. Hi, Thought I would post this pic of my Ferret in service in Northen Ireland. As you can see from the cap badges it is with the 17/21 Lancers. According to the history card for the vehicle it was with th 17/21 Lancers in 1970. I have scanned the picture from a book called Battlefield which was passed onto me by the previous owner of the Ferret, apparently he was down at beltring looking on a book stall, he picked up the book and it fell open at this page with the pic of his Ferret! Chris

I will definitely be booking for next year. I met up with the guy who used to own my Ferret for 12 years. He gave me a book called Battlefield, The Weapons of Modern Land Warfare. On page 89 there is a picture of my Ferret in service in Northern Ireland with the 17th 21st Lancers, according to the record card it was with the Lancers in 1970.
