  1. Hi Lauren, Hope "Dolly" is still running well! I woudn't worry too much about the smaller diameter tyres your F22 is fitted with larger wheels and tyres than standard CMP's anyway. Regards Chris

  5. Hi fayjo56, Yep you have to remove flywheel and bell housing. The bell housing on the OY has the rear two engine mounts attached, so have to support engine. Don't know if MW is same. I got the clutch from John Morter http://www.milweb.net/dealers/trader/bedfordspares/ Not cheap but good quality and excellent service. Chris
  6. Just an update. Engine is now running! Gearbox is now off and new clutch is ready to be installed, ran out of light today. Also a new rear core plug is been installed as this was leaking. Have managed to spray the bonnet and this has been re-installed. Trying to work my way towards the rear of the vehicle. Drivers side windscreen is ready for refitting and the doors should be back soon from the bodyshop. Chris.
  7. Thats my old Ferret! Sold it to a guy in Essex about 18 months ago. Now stored at Yeldam Transport Museum. Chris
  8. Have started to fit some of the new parts. Correct front and rear mudguards now fitted. I have made the stays myself. managed to find a speedo, but need to make speedo bracket. Does anybody have a pic of where it attaches. Will hopefully get the second toolbox fitted over the weekend. Also got a Altette horn on its way. Where should the horn be mounted on a 41 w ng? Regards Chris
  9. Hi, Can anybody supply a photo of the correct speedo bracket? Or description, dimensions etc. I have managed to source some of the hard to find items such as correct speedo, rubber knee grips, front mudguard stay, and rearmost tool box. Chris
  10. Hi, Does anyone have a Butler sidelight for sale, just need one! Chris
  11. Hi, thanks for the info. The sidecar is a replica! Chris
  12. I have managed to obtain Bedford Badge, I am told this should be painted red or blue depending on year of manufacture. Is this correct? If so what colour for 1943? Chris
  13. I have just acquired this bike, it has been civilianized so I need to find lots of parts to return to military trim. I have already managed to find some original mudguards. I am hoping to match the bike up with the sidecar I already have. Chris
  14. Managed to do a bit more today. Got the blackout cover from good old ebay! Just need to touch up around the bolt heads. I have had a radiator muff made up just need to fit the lift-the -dot fasteners. Chris
  15. Front grill repaired, repainted and refitted. Also replaced the webbing gasket where the bonnet sits against the front grill. Chris
  16. Hi. Trying to get as much done as poss before the bad weather arrives. I am also trying to get my 1 ton Brockhouse trailer finished and out of the way as well. I have also bought a 1941 Ariel W/ng and sidecar. As if not busy enough I have been helping make up a bomb disposal display for the Sheffield Blitz commemoration on the 11th December. The bomb is made up from an old Co2 bottle, the head has been turned from wood and the fins made from an old road sign. I think it looks good now it as been painted and detailed. Just needs some mud on it!
  17. Hi, Engine is all back together and have refitted radiator today. Got a replacement oil filter from John Morter, looks original on the outside but is a modern type screw on filter inside. Should be running tomorrow hopefully. Chris
  18. Cracking on with the truck. The cylinder head should be refitted tommorow, the head has beem skimmed and the valves ground in. The engine bay has been cleaned out and repainted, radiator is also ready for refitting hopefully should be back up and running tommorow. I have started repairing priming and painting lots of parts so the front end should come back together quite quickly. Pic attached of the first part of windscreen repaired and repainted.
  19. Got radiator back this week just need to rub down the nasty black paint that looks as if it was applied by vacuum cleaner. Bits back from shot blasters, need to do a few small repairs before paint. Head has gone off to be skimmed and valves ground in, should be back running pretty soon. Chris
  20. The engine is free, it was still running last week! Just lots of white smoke and water in oil. So going for head gasket! Have started stripping rear brakes as they were seized on. Chris
  21. Hi, Have stripped front end off and the parts have gone off for blasting. Radiator has gone off to be re-cored. Have removed windscreens, one side will be ok with a little work and i have got replacement rubbers. The bottom half of the other side is completely rotten, I have taken it to a local fabricator to see if they can do anything with it. If not I will be giving Paul Brook a call. Hopefully will be removing cylinder head next week! My aim at the moment is to get the truck up and running so I can move it around under its own steam! Chris
  22. All of the mechanical parts seem to be available from traders. But the body and trim parts don't seem to be available at all.
  23. The truck definatley needs a new head gasket and radiator needs a small repair. So have started the strip down. Rear brakes have seized on, but I am waiting for repair manual to arrive before tackling these.
