My carrier came from Holland so there is a good chance the axle came from the same source. If you need any bits copying Rik let me know, I have an excellent fabricator and very reasonable. Chris

Out to the farm tommorow to remove the wheels and bogies ready for welding at the weekend. We will be turning the tub upside down, on its side etc, so that we get the welds correct. Chris

I have managed to collect together lots of the missing parts such as lights etc. The regulator after a refurb!

The 3 rear floor plates were rotten and have been replaced. The control levers were rusted up solid.

The rear axle had been removed with a cutting torch, as you can see in the pictures this made a mess of the hull.

I started by stripping the carrier completely and sent everything off to be shot blasted so that i could see what we had.

Hi, Bought this carrier back in December last year. Started the restoration in January. I was planning on posting the pics as i went along, but didn't get round to it. So here goes with the pics from the last couple of months. I will try to post in order. Enjoy, Chris

Re-fitted drivers door today, so everything is back on the cab. When the rain stops again I can paint spare wheel carrier and fit new made toolbox behind cab. And a name "Edna" after my Gran

Hi, Not done much in the last couple of months due to the weather. I have managed to do a bit in the last week or so. I have fitted a NOS stock carb, runs much better. I have fitted the windscreens back in including the newly made one from http://www.rustytrucks.com Paul has done a fantastic job. Most of the outside of the cab is finished. I will paint the interior at a later date. Regards Chris

Hi, Have managed to get a bit more done on the Bedford. Has been a bit of a struggle with all the rain. The doors are now repaired and ready for refitting, also managed to cut out and replace the rotten bits on the passenger side of the cab. Got the correct canvas tilt from the MVT Greensheet for £30, Bargain!! If the weather stays dry should get it done soon. Chris

Hi Gareth, Found most of the tin work on ebay, you have to keep looking! Got the paint from Warpaint on Milweb. John budgen is good for parts as well. Ask him for the number of the guy who does the magdinos etc, he his very good! Good luck with the resto. Chris
