  1. welcome Derek, please post pictures of ongoing projects as that is half the fun cheers from holland, Arjan
  2. No i don't... she is on site with her adapted 109 ex raf series 3, and is protective about her property. a poor girl called me fat once .... you don't want to know. she nearly got drowned in that swimming pool. then you will see our dogs too. mastiff / great dane crossbreeds who will drool on you. and would you guy's really attack a man that is semi wheelchair bound?:undecided:
  3. i am looking forward to it, we plan to bring a 101fc ambulance in from the Amsterdam region and the 109 ex raf series3. for us it's 600 liters of petrol and all the food and beer. for me it's the chance to have a talk with the girls from the W&P catering and see friends i did not see for a year. as to bring cheer back in this thread, it's the last show i attend unmarried
  4. it was a mess when i got there i do say this year was the hardest on me, as a slip or fall would mean hospital for pain relief. our dogs enjoyed the fussing on the show grounds except the mud... the hopfarm did have the disabled toilets right this year, 100+ needy and 10 key's. i am getting an update on those facilities on the new showground next week. i do realize that theft and the price of the hopfarm going up every year, take in consideration the shock of my friend who made that phone call to check.rough to break traditions like that. as for mr cadman and making money or not, i hope he does make money out of it. it's a business after all.
  5. from my contact, she made a phone call and the news is confirmed. i wonder why? we had fun in last shows mud... right?
  6. i have been asking the W&P crew that i know, she is letting me know when she knows more.
  7. if it aint that far away from the humber and not planned on the same dates i am in to a new event. what ale are you planning?
  8. a lot of trench art on the dutch markets are made in school with arts and craft. there were plenty of empties, so why not. it's just being sold for something it's not that gets me.
  9. have the seller make a sale document, the transport company should make a cmr document to keep with paperwork he needs to make the trip. the responsabele person with loading/securing is the driver. you are legaly responsabele for the transported goods, like drugs, guns etc. fist to go to prison is the driver though. if it's a heavy vehicle, tell the driver to get chain straps as not every driver carries them. for the rest, this is that one europe thing with open borders
  10. the same unit is used on both 24 and 12v. just remember they consume a 0.7 volt. perhaps buy a newer unit from Durite to be safe.
  11. thanks, it's not just a enfield mag i am looking for, also bits for a mosin nagant.
  12. just for the little things to complete a rifle, like a correl , replacement stock and clamps, chainlink in packs of 500 pieces. can i import bits from the usa without risk? thanks, Arjan
  13. i use photobucket, image code puts the picture straight on the site. hope this helps a bit
  14. my 3/4 sankey has got a FL plate, 21-FL-50 . i don't know a lot about getting dates from letter combo's and like to read up on it.
  15. some 1600kg on the sticker in the cab, most got 2000kg on the same sticker. if you are looking for a dutch registration, we have 3500kg as the limit legally.
  16. dutch law? cut in half length wise and welded on a steel plate? the dutch need a collectors licence for it, or end up in court like i did with my bren! just play it safe.
  17. i'll see if i can find it on my narrow track today. it should be on the plate on the chassis under the tub.
  18. Thanks to the both of you. i did see starter help in form of small canisters one needs to puncture, never one like this. i bought a large box of uniform bits, a enfield rifle and that case on the bottom, labeled Sherman tank shell. now labeled correctly, thanks.
  19. best i could do right now. cheers, Arjan
  20. I am not on reenactment forums, I do war and peace while dipping my life in military gear. I won't do reenactment as with my long hair I stand out a bit.. Hope to hear where the next trip is going. Cheers arjan.
  21. i am a bit pissed off about not hearing about this trip. i would have loved to have seen this in real life. looked like i missed all the fun and hope to see it next time.
  22. i have a shell thats 105mm and is electronic ignited, never seen anything like it, and wondering is it rare? or from something special? second is about a military issue carpenters box. i have been given that box as a empty wooden box, all that could rust did rust but i think it's worth of restoring. what type of tools should be in there? it gives me something to hunt for tools, in hopefully good enough condition to use at shows aswell. thanks for your time, Arjan
  23. both looking nice. i hope you enjoy your new toy ( and you have good neighbors btw) is it hard to drive one of them?
