  1. Hi Scott, contact Alex , "Chubbster", he has a lightweight and has fitted his out with all Clansman, I just run Clansman manpacks so Alex will be your best bet, he may not see your question so PM him, regards, Ian. ( tell him I sent you:-D)
  2. With the new site Jack, could there be a page dedicated to last year where we can upload pics etc, I know there have been plenty seen on here and different sites plus video on youtube but would be good to have collectively in one place:-D
  3. Forgot to say Jack, let me know if he needs to contact you to confirm as I know someone who could pass on info:-D
  4. Hi Jack, saw Mitch at Evesham yesterday and did`nt know about next year ( Computer`s are still not his thing ) is well up for going AND says there will be a new set of tracks going on the Stuart. He said both trips Sat and Sun sounds spot on. Have you got contact details for him from last year as I only see him now and again, Ian.:-)
  5. Whoops:-X Oh yes Olaf, that`s mine:-) I have another friend who wants to bring his WNG, wow, news travels fast about next year:D
  6. Hi Jack, thought I`d better ask sooner rather than later, regarding the number of bikes,I have a mate who`s got a Matchless G3L who would very much like to go, will there a limit of 10 or be a discretional amount ( is there such a word :readbook:) or take a list. As you can see, everyones heard what is was like last year and afraid of missing the boat:sweat:
  7. Spot on with the menu David, if anything like last year,
  8. A nice touch Jack giving priority to last years supporters:-) Also, is the Big Band do still on the cards over at Piddlehinton Camp, may be too much to cram in, but it all sounds superb. The floor manager at work books his holiday every year to coincide with veterans day as its a great sight to see and apparently they beach a landing craft as well as part of the atmosphere. That reminds me, Ummm bucket and spade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hi Neil, I have just sent Robin an email myself so will let you know if anything comes back, regards, Ian.:-)
  10. Hi folks, just a couple of links to the Wings and Wheels event in August at Upottery that Jack mentioned earlier on. The one link lists the cast of the Band of Brothers taking part in the Parachute Jump. Ian.:-D http://www.southwestairfields.co.uk/?page_id=296 http://jumpingforheroes.blogspot.com/
  11. Hi Alex, most probably of no help, but if you set the test switch to overide this will overide the tx if there is a fault on the heat sensor, which would fire it up regardless, but this may be just the transmit side and be independent to the receiver. Are you going to Malvern by the way, will email you as well regarding other items, all the best Ian. p.s will ask a friend about the 353, might be able to throw some light.
  12. Hi Nigel, have`nt advertised anything as yet but must get around to doing it, the ticket is out in 12 months but will soon come around. Will pop to Malvern as its only about 25mins for me, but its a bit of a jaunt for yourself, keep in touch, regards, Ian.
  13. Fine thankyou Nigel, are you going up to Malvern later this month.
  14. Basically Peter what Nigel has said (Hi Nige), also Peter, just before you wrap the WLA up for the Winter you could drain the oil completely, this does`nt solve the wet sumping but it seems its not too much of a problem when you are using it through the summer. You could put an oil tap inline if you have a seperate oil tank but BEWARE!!! a friend of mine is just rebuilding his Norton after forgeting to turn the tap on. :embarrassed: Not sure what type of valve is used in the WLA but obviously this is where the problem is, not stopping the oil running back down into the sump. Regards, Ian.
  15. Hi Paul, I believe the PRC 349 15v Batteries as with the PRC 350 15v Batts are charged via an adapter plate that is hooked up to the 14v or 28v DCCU`s. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clansman-349-DC-Battery-Charger-Plate-/250741605387?pt=UK_Collectables_Militaria_LE&hash=item3a615d440b Ian.
  16. Hi Nigel, could`nt believe we missed, would have been great to have met up. Saw the volkes there did`nt ask though , glad I did`nt. No other bike bits at all but bought some clansman bits and bobs, and a nice large camo net for a tenner. All the best, keep in touch, regards, Ian. :-)
  17. Great day indeed, loads of kit right across the board, very busy, had some good buys and didn`t leave til mid afternoon. Bumped into Jack for about 20mins catching up on all the gossip and re-living June. (GRINS GALORE:D:D:D) 2012 Bring it on !!! Ian.
  18. Thank you for the information and photos Schliesser, amazing, never seen one before, that accounts for the two way supports, one for the main mast and the other to take the boom for the director and relector. Great info, and a serious piece of radio kit. Cheers very much, Ian.
  19. Hi Iain, thank you for your reply. When its collapsed its about 4 1/2 ft long but I would think thats just for transporting as there are no markings when its extended which is about 10 ft. As its folded, looking at antenna length of approx 20 ft so possibly VHF, around 50mhz ???, regards, Ian.:nut:
  20. Hi folks, just wondered if anyone could throw some light on this folded dipole please. Would say its Larkspur from looking at the feed connection. (not shown) Many thanks, Ian.
  21. See, I`m all over the place now, I can`t even spell queue!!!
