  1. Hi All I'm going to view a Kraz 255b tonight, anything I should be looking out for? There is a youtube film by Russian Trucks taken driving in the cab of one of these back in 2007 and I'm sure its the same one judging by the markings, although its a bit rougher now. Cheers for now Paul
  2. Thanks for posting that. they were very quick too, thought you said it was a hassle?
  3. welcome in, so what apc's are you looking at? 432's? there's an interesting saracen on milweb at the moment
  4. Does anyone have any in service shots at all? Or was it SO well done you can't see anything??? I kind of think it looks good and makes things more interesting to see some cam nets up, but its true you do feel like you are intruding a little if its done in such a way.
  5. Hi Thats the sort of thing I've just picked up, apart from baskets instead of crosses. Cheers Paul
  6. Yes, thats a fair point, after all it is a SHOW of vehicles rather than a HIDE. But sometimes if its done well I recon it can add to the display, for family and public. I promise I won't get over excited with this stuff
  7. Hi All I'm a newby to actually camping at shows (kids should be old enough next year SURELY) Anyway, I've got a saracen with penthouse extension, 12 X 12, ferret and also after today, lots of cam netting 10m x 10m and 12m x 14m, plus lots of poles, baskets etc. So, that could mean a decent acreage under cover for the family to hang out in, have fun and maybe room for a cider lounge for consumption of this year's crop. However, I need inspiration. Does anyone have any pics of their creations or good ones they've seen please? Thanks Paul
  8. Good result, well done the Police and thanks for letting us know. Cheers Paul
  9. Really REALLY nice job. I'm actually looking at your model and have worked out where a bin I've got is supposed to go in my saracen ACV, and where another one is missing. Thanks Paul
  10. Hi Do you mean the creamy brown stuff stuck to the inside? If so try Tim or Preston at Cobbaton Combat in Devon, they have a roll of it, bought some myself when they had their dig out earlier this year. Cheers Paul
  11. I'd love to go to Withams but its so bl***y far away. So what are you doing down there Matt, looking for something new??? Cheers Paul
  12. I wondered if this was on. Who do I contact to book a spot for a vehicle? Thanks Paul
  13. Nice project, photos and updates please Cheers Paul
  14. I'm an RSOLE as it were, good site for everything RL. Did the RL on this thread not sell then?
  15. I have found that the mv lot can be clique too at times, but, start asking a couple of questions about their vehicle and they are away. I think a certain percentage of enthusiasts are out of their comfort zone talking to strangers about anything else.
  16. Preston has contacted everyone who was at the show with the details of what went on. Seeing as everything appropriate is already being done that should probably be an end to it here. Cheers Paul
  17. Hi Tony If thats me you are refering to about not refering to then ............. none taken mate Cheers Paul
  18. The countryside can be the same. We have a country faire that gets held in one of our fields, and although I show the ferret and saracen I get called away to sort things out here and there. When I got back parents were just standing and watching their kids jumping in and out of both vehicles, they were covered in them. Some had got into the saracen and were removing tools, parents just standing watching. A couple of them had actually taken a hammer out and had used it to hammer the s**t out of the roof. Now I have bent bin lids and chipped paint to deal with. No one was stood on the classic cars or tractors that were also at the show. MV's are apparently different. Rant over. I was at the cobbaton show on the sunday and am sorry to hear about the thefts. Paul
  19. My ferret had alot of petrol in the oil when I first got it. It had been running with choke (I know its not a choke exactly) disconnected and left half open. It may not be the fuel pump diaphram at all which is a cheery thought Cheers Paul
  20. Hi Getting to the end of constant sanding painting, swearing sanding painting swearing etc, and things are getting better all the time. Has anyone had any experience of compounding? Sounds like it would finish off the paintjob, shining her up a little and losing sanding marks too, but I've never done it before. Cheers Paul
