  4. Saw lee today hitting his 25 Pdr {in Bits } so i thought i would send him some photos of how it should look and how not to do it. original photos from my Collection.

  6. Thanks mike for the info. The inside of the starter motor wanted to turn and broke the spring at the end but the end plate has at least 6 cracks in it, and in all the wrong places. Had the starter remade new spring and insides but that lasted 3 mins and back to square one. Just hope someone has a starter or end plate. Keith
  7. Any one got a Drive end bracket as this is the part that is broken or have the starter. Thanks for the Help so far. Keith
  8. My Morris starter motor has given up, had it repaired but that lasted 3 mins and is beyond repaire [starting to crack on the back plate. Does any one know or have a spare one for sale or know of a moden one that would fit my 1944 Morris C8 GS. Did the 4x2 morris have the same stater motor fitted?

I need some info on the R 103 Reception Set Mk II ZA 3080 that were used in Army Staff Cars in WW2 [The British R 103 not the Cdn one.] Have just bought one to put in the Humber and does any one know what type of plug fits it [4 pin ] to run it from the battery + any info on the type of Antenna to use. Best of all has any one got the Working Instructions / manual for it, Original or copy. The one i bought has a meter put in, instead of the red light, by the last owner?. Looking at the 1st photo looks like i need a battery box & cord that goes with it, Any one have a spare one?

Hi, i think that it would have been hand painted. the truck is in german use in this photo as it would have been a battlefield pick up. the rest of the trucks are german army WH, most photos i have of british trucks in use by the german army 1940 have WH hand painted or a cross put on them. at a later date they would have had a refit and new paint job [Gray] and some times a new body.   18. Hi, found a original photo from my collection of a Commer in German use, has a V on the right wing. Any one knows what that is from. Div or unit sign?.
  19. Just bought some photos of some Humber Heavy Utility Cars [box] from the late 1940s, they are taken in Germany at a REME Base and the RAF one has BAFO [british Army Force of Occupation]? and 3 MREU on the back?. What does 3 MREU mean.
  20. Found these on a website some time ago. dont know what is on the doors of the Morris still in service. not in British Army?.
  21. 2 more original photos i have in my collection. Morris with tank in Korea the other just a Morris. I do have a Film of them used in Korea [some of it in colour ] towing a Mortar behind.

A friend of mine let me have a copy of this photo when he was in Korea, and told me he had great fun towing a 17 pounder gun with his morris down hill. as we know they dont stop very well, he nearly jumped out. Has any one got any more photos of 1944 Morris GS trucks they could share in Army use.
