  2. some more photos. A few years ago they found a German 88 still in its pit near the church.
  3. I have put a video + photos of it on Flcker. type. [ dug in tank at arnhem ]. you cant get into it. but some day you never know some one will dig it up and get it going. needs a new engine. wonder if it still is on the Dutch military books. we passed it on our trip to Arnhem this Sept 2009.
  4. Sherman Tank dug into the ground near Arnhem still there in Sept 2009. Was put there post war by the Dutch military to defend the area. The hull is still under the ground but full of water. Any info on the markings.

  7. Thanks for the info. Hopeing to do a book on captured British Vehicles left at Dunkirk area in 1940 and then used by the germans, a large amount went to the Eastern Front so need a Notek light as they were fitted to most of them and could also fit it to my morris. Have about 300 original photos now.
  8. Yep, we had that happen to us by a foreign truck, had to go into the hard shoulder other wise we would have lost the front wing of the morris.
  9. but its nice and warm in winter and you can take the side windows off and open the front up in the summer but you cant hear any one talk to you because of the noise from the engine
  10. you have to look after the rads even in Europe, like to keep her warm.
  11. more photos. on the front of the rad is MCC C 1944 8 W D This rad muff might fit other Morris trucks as well ? Original photos are from my collection.

  13. Hi John, the photo of your morris was taken in June 2000 . The photo of the Morris in the scrapyard was taken in April 1988, must have gone by now. Have a original rad muff for the 1944 Morris C8 GS and dated 1944 will post more photos of it in C 8 rad muff. Original Photo is from my collection
  14. More photos. Does any one have a photo of the top part of the bulb holder. Thanks in advance for your help.

Just bought a notek light and when i opened it up it had part of the bulb holder missing. does any one have a spare top part and can you date the notek light, it has 90 on the front. how do you wire it up as it has just one place to put the wire on the bottom. Think these work on 6V. Thanks for your Help

  18. Here is some photos of the passenger backrest pad. Fits on to the 4 lugs on the back of the body of the cab, behind the passenger seat. the pad is 15 inchs wide and 8 1/2 inchs high and just over 1 inchs thick. The 4 tags that fit are 2x2 inchs with a hole for lugs to go though then turn to keep the pad in place. Hope your 4 lugs are the same. will put up the rad photos soon when i come back from Arnhem.

  21. A few more from my collection. Still have not found any photos of them [ 1944 morris C8 GS ] in use during WW2. think they were made to late in the war to get to the front line.
